MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION (Becoming a vessel of reconciliation)

On a general note, It is an act of being a middle man or mediator between two or more equal or unequal parties. Reconciliation entails settling dispute between people.

But in the context of our discussion for today, reconciliation is the mandate, or act of carrying out Christ ambassadorial task…in VERSE 12.
It is regarded as a ministry because it contains different departments. Different departments are mutually working together in order to bring men back to God.

From the fall of man, God decided to restore man back to himself that’s why He sent Jesus His only son (John 3:16). Jesus continued the work of reconciliation and give His life for man kind. Before His departure, saddled the responsibility to all believers to carry the message of reconciliation to all mankind.

The message of reconciliation is of telling the whole world the about Christ and His forgiving nature to all that seek and come to him. ( 2Cor. 5:17,19).

Many believers now have joined the bandwagon thereby loosing their identity. If I man ask, who are you? Sincerely respond to this to yourself. Whom are you ambassador of?
As believers, we have to understand who we are, and our calling on earth.

Though we have different special abilities empowered by the Holy spirit, one thing we should understand is -we all ought to work toward one goal ( reconciling men back to God)
The body of Christ (the church) is now falling apart because each Ministry (prayers, music, ushering, teaching… Etc) are seeing themselves as mutually exclusive to one another.

Its so sad to see those Ministries seeing each other as less spiritual.
You may be in Music, prayer, ushering, deacon, teaching and other ministries, just know that all are units under the main Ministry which is the Ministry of Reconciliation (Bringing men back to God).

Ask yourself ” what’s my area of operation in the body of Christ? Have I reconciled any soul back to God through my work?”
Because of our character, attitude and behavior, we have lost our identity.

The first disciples were identified as *Christians* not because they said they are Christians, but because they refused to conform to the world system (the pattern of the world) and maintained their status quo as *Christ ambassadors* working toward reconciling men back to God
They understood the *great commission* Matthew 28:19:20.
Brethren, you can not faithfully carryout the mandate of reconciliation and still desire to please men.

The message is reconciliation is such a great deal that it interrupted Jude’s message of salvation, he spoke in form of faith in Jude vs 3. The bible said can one carry fire in his bosom and not be burnt, I would say can one receive such a great fire within and not seek to light up the world??? Every believer that has really been reconciled with God would consistently seek to bring men for such reconciliation with God.

The Samaritan woman was not a special person, but one who received from our Lord Jesus Christ something she have never found.

The Ministry of Reconciliation is to all *BELIEVERS*. The ministry of reconciliation in 2 Corinthians 5:18 refers to the work believers have been given to do and the message they declare: you can have a restored relationship with God through Jesus. The verse says this: “All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.

The ministry of reconciliation involves the proclamation of the gospel and its assurance that forgiveness of sin is available in Christ. Is said *believers* to signify those that are saved. Because you can not give what you don’t have. God has given believers the ministry of reconciliation; that is, He uses us to tell the world that they can be reconciled to God through Christ. In this way, we become “Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us”.

Its so sad that many Christians have ascribed the Ministry of Reconciliation to only limited few, (preachers).. Matthew 28:19-20
Ministry of Reconciliation is first an inward affair, then giving light to others….(Matthew 5:16).

There are many virtues of the Ministry of Reconciliation But we will briefly see few then we will close for today.

1. True and honest heart (2Cor.5:12). Many have abandoned the work of reconciliation and focuses on their appearances. This is so sad. The Ministry of Reconciliation is exchanged for an entertainment.

2. Total submission to Christ. (2Cor. 5:13-14). *Verse 14* Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. Let Christ controls: Gal. 2:20

3. Knowledge of the Word of Christ…

In *Conclusion*…
As God’s partners, we beg you not to accept this marvelous gift of God’s kindness and then ignore it.For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.

GENERATION OF UNCONSCIOUS FELLOWS

What a generation of unconscious fellows. Do not think we are far from the time, the time is at hand. The world is fast moving to one government but many are still not aware.

I wonder how possible that the entire nations with unanimous agreement be under lockdown. Many excused such an act as a global pandemic militating the world (COVID19).

It worries me when I look and see that many people are unconsciously participating in enforcing the mark of the beast.

It doesn’t matter where you are working, both God and the devil are looking for a vessel to use. You can be available for God to use so you save your soul and many others or to the devil for eternal condemnation (what profit a man if he gains the whole world and looses his soul?).

You may be a law enforcement agent, civil servant or an entrepreneur, be conscious of your choices in life. God loves you.

*HAVE YOU UNDERGONE THE SPIRITUAL OPERATION?*

Have you ever consider the reality of life through sickness? There are some ailment that keeps on eating an individual without a certain knowledge of what it is. Medical practitioners just administers medication based on the symptoms and what they think (according to their test) is the problem.

Some ailment demands operations, but because it wasn’t noticed, the patient will just be receiving medications. The truth is, the pain will reduce or even be gone, but it will just be for a while and it will surface again. Until the medical practitioners get to know that the sickness demands operation. If operated the patient will then find a total recovery.

Brethren, that’s how SIN is. Just as a patient suffering from tumor or other ailment, by receiving medications the patient will get relieve, but to be free from it, the patient must be operated on.

Only Christ can set you free from your sins, but brother/sister you need more than just forgiveness of sin. The evil desire that lead to the sin must be cut off.

Colossians 2:11 ” When you came to Christ he set you free from evil desires, not by a bodily operation of circumcision but by a spiritual operation, the baptism of your soul.

You can be free from SIN, but until the evil desire is cut off, you are still not free. Sin is a product of evil desire and an evil desire comes from the HEART. JAMES 1:15 “Then the evil desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is fully matured, brings forth death.”

HOW CAN YOU BE FREE FROM EVIL DESIRES?

Since evil desire comes from the heart, then the only way to get rid of evil desire is to fill up your heart with Gods own things (Psalms 77:12) HOW CAN YOU DO THAT?

1. Meditate on the word of God and stored Gods word in your heart. (Psalms 119:11)

2. Pray always. (1Thessalonians 5:17)

JESUS IS ALIVE

The place where our Lord Jesus Christ was crucified is a place of shame😵, place of agony, place of suffering, place of bondage🔥, place of pain. No wonder the BIBLE called it GOLGOTHA meaning THE PLACE OF THE SKULL💀💀💀. But Jesus accept that to die just to save us from our sins. Let me tell you something about Jesus that some people doesn’t know. When Abacha died, after few days people called him LATE Sani Abacha, when Yar’adua died, after few days people say LATE Yar’adua, when Mandela died, after few days he was called LATE Mandela. But JESUS died and nobody says LATE JESUS because the whole world knows that HE is ALIVE. If U belief JESUS is ALIVE shout a bigger 🙋🙋🙋HALLELLUYA…….HALLELLUYA…

THE WORD OF GOD

I write to you to remind you and awakens you about the strategy the devil is using now to scavenge the people of God. Have you notice the degree of studying the WORD of God is dying among believers? The issue is as serious as anything you can think of.

One of the major barriers that denies the devil access to any believer is the degree of his/her faith. Now the devil has realised that by killing the zeal of studying the Word of God, the faith of that individual is altered.

Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Luke 18:8b “Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”

Brethren, do not allow the devil to quench the zeal and passion in you for studying the Word of God. Your faith is edified through your study of the Word of God.

2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”.

WHOSE REPORT WILL YOU BELIEVE?

You may be a lukewarm Christian not because you don’t want to STAND firm, but because the devil has succeeded in feeding you his lies from the pit of hell that “your sins are so much for God to forgive you, you can go no where”.

The devil remind you of your past to hold you in the present in order to deny you the bright future ahead of you.

Romans 8:1 ….There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2Cor. 5:17….Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Isaiah 1:18….Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

SAY NO TO THE TRAP OF THE DEVIL.

James 4:7…..Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

GOD LOVES YOU.

YOU ARE NOT YOUR OWN

Can you remember that moment when someone offended you and you make a statement such as “do you know who I am?”. If I may ask you, who do you think you are? I am here to tell you, YOU ARE NOT YOUR OWN. You are nothing but dust.

Align yourself to God and understand your potential. God has a plan for you.

DEPART FROM INIQUITY

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
