Many people have detaste the way the word “PROSPERITY ” is used in the christiandom. It has become an ambiguous word with multiple meanings and purposes for uttering it. Some churches uses the word alot, organising crusades tagging it toward PROSPERITY. You can see banners like “Possess your possession, operation collect if by force, Born to win, You are destined for greatness, etc. ”
The Positive use of the word can not be overemphasized, we can not denied the fact that other ministries used the word to gather crowd.
Notwithstanding, The
effect of the word depends on You, yes you. How do you define
prosperity? Many people measure prosperity base on physical treasure
(monetary or valuable possession). What of you? “.And what do you
benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything
worth more than your soul? Matt. 16:26..”
Prosperity is your
birthright. I mean you, if you made the requirements. The requirement
is “if you are a son of God. Don’t feel exclusive if you are a woman,
you too is inclusive. The question is “who is a son of God? “.
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to
become children of God. John 1:12″ Many misunderstood this passage.
Becoming a Christian Only is not a yardstick to be called a Believer.
You accept Jesus as your personal Lord and saviour, then abiding in His
Path continuesly. Having faith that goes with work, not limited to
these, you can then consider yourself as a son of God.
By
fulfilling these mandates, prosperity is your birthright because He
that gives prosperity is your father. Do not be entice by the statement
of many in their effort to gather crowd for themselves. Let me take you
through the scripture…
Psalms 1:1-3 (NLT)
1. Oh, the joys
of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around
with sinners, or join in with mockers. 2. But they delight in the law of
the Lord, meditating on it day and night. 3. They are like trees
planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves
never wither, and they prosper in all they do.”
Going through the
above passage, what do you see? Yes, you. There are three things
mentioned that Can hinders You from prospering, these cases other
issues.
These are:
1- Not follow the advice of the wicked.:
2- Don’t Stand around with sinners:
3- Nor join with mockers.
Looking at the above indices, one may say, “it is when you stay with
sinner then you can change them” you are right, because Jesus came
because of sinners not the righteous.
But consider (1Cor. 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.”
Standing with sinners Doesn’t take an ordinary person. That’s why the
Bible put more emphasis on that, because as a Child of God, your effort
is to win souls to Christ.
1Cor. 15:33 (AMP) Do not be so
deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations)
corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character. Also see
Prov. 1:10-15.
The byproduct of staying under the shadow of your father, the Almighty God is that you prosper in all you do.
There is no secret apart from this. Many have wondered away in search
of Prosperity, unknown to them the ball has been in their court. They
have been seeking for what is theirs from the wrong source.
Brethren, You are born to win, prosperity is your birthright.
